What a Zoo!

We took Keller on his first trip to the zoo a couple weeks ago, and what an awesome day it was! First, it was great to take little bug down to our old stomping grounds. We drove by our old (but still owned by us) house and all was well. While we both miss living in the city and East Atlanta itself, we also know that's not where life is currently taking us….but going back for visits is the best!
We went to the zoo first to try and avoid any heat leftover from the summer, but we lucked out and had a gorgeous fall-ish day. Keller loved looking at all of the animals of course, and making each animal sound too. I think we got some awesome pictures of the animals, but not many of Keller! He always had his back to us just checking out the creatures. I can't believe its taken us this long to get him down there, but he is definitely at a great age to really enjoy the zoo. After checking out all of the big animals and the snake house (which I could have passed on but Daddy and Keller were loving some reptiles!), we took Keller to the petting zoo. I'm pretty skeptical of these things being all public health mama, but fortunately Keller had no interest in actually petting the sheep or goats. He just ran around the fenced in area in circles like an animal! But either way, there was lots of hand washing and anti-bacterial soap going on after that!
After the zoo we went to the Matador in Glenwood Park, Sean and I's favorite mexican place in the area. I got my usual and it was still just as good as I remembered (and Baby Girl loved it too!). Keller was hilarious just dipping chips and sucking off the salsa… that's my boy! After mexican we had to top off the afternoon with the best ice cream ever from Morellis in East Atlanta. Its a good thing I am not preggers living down there or I would be in serious trouble. We all had their newest concoction… biscoffee ice cream. Its coffee ice cream and biscotti cookies….AH-MAZ-ING! (I'm obviously pregnant as I could write about this flavor forever!). Keller crashed on the way home of course, but it was one awesome day. Sean and I got to reminisce and also show Keller all of our favorite spots. We will definitely make a point to take Keller and all future munchkins downtown more often, such a treat!

This is the running around screaming like an animal while in the petting zoo ;)

And Baby Makes 7!!!

So excited to announce that we are expecting a little GIRL March 2013!  I am about 15 weeks along and this past weekend Sean, Keller, and I went to find out the sex of this little one. Still trying to grasp the idea of having a girl. With 5 boys on my side of the family, 1 on Sean's, and Keller, we just thought we were meant to have boys! What an amazing surprise :) I stopped by Koo Koo Bear Kids yesterday on my way home from the office just to look at all the girly bedding, clothes, toys, blankets, etc. It was so fun to get to explore the whole store! Now that I am into my 2nd trimester I am feeling better and starting to get some energy back. I've made a point in this pregnancy to keep up the workouts and limit the fast food and ice cream (things I was reliant upon when pregnant with Keller).

My other little baby, Keller, is not such a baby anymore! He started at the Goddard School in August. He absolutely loves it and is doing great. He was great at Mrs.Sharon's but I can tell such a difference in how much he is learning and also in how much fun he is having with a few more kids to play with. There are 8 kids in his classroom, and his best friend is Brady. They have breakfast together every morning…so cute! Keller's latest loves include Brady, tomatoes, Green Eggs & Ham and Go Dog Go by Dr.Seuss, cars (of any sort), his furry siblings (particularly Lilly), and TALKING. He is able to say a ton of words, so many that we can't really keep up anymore. He is also learning sign language at school and can sign the words "Blue", "More", and "All Done". He learns lots of signs but Daddy and I have to do a better job at learning them ourselves because some of the time we don't know what he is trying to say! I'm working on getting Keller's "Big Boy" room ready. I hope to have him in there by the end of the year. So hard to believe that he is moving out of the crib! Where did my baby go?!?!?

Fall football has begun and we are SO excited for Georgia's season! Go Dawgs!!!
