Spring Fever

This spring I have been in and out of town (with and without Keller), so it has been a bit of a whirlwind few months. We have a couple more trips planned in May (Hilton Head and Blue Ridge), but then are finally home for a whole month in June! I was able to go to Aspen and visit my bestie Kristen and to Mexico for our great friends Courteney and Brad's wedding. Both trips were amazing vacations and a healthy break from motherhood. But of course, with Keller always on my brain, vacations without my baby boy are definitely not the same and never will be. However, I am a big believer that time with just friends and hubby are absolutely needed, and it has made my time at home (and on the road!) with Keller that much more special :) It's all about the balance.
Our little family made a trip to south Georgia to help out Pa and Kat in Douglas, and also to visit our awesome friends Kat & Shaun and their precious twin girls in Hazelhurst, GA. I've always wondered what it would be like to live in one of those teeny tiny towns that I've driven through over the many years of road trips.  Well now I have an idea :)  It was great to get some quality time with our friends, and gain a new perspective. Who knew you could have that much fun in Hazelhurst???

Spring came early this year (despite the groundhog), so we were really happy that we went ahead and had our new deck built. We have been spending tons of time outside, and now Keller has a FANTASTIC play area in the sunshine. He is a huge fan of the water/sand table, and also loves just running in circles around the deck :)
Keller's vocabulary is really expanding, here's what we've got: dog, shoe, duck, snack, (mama and dada, though still not discriminately), and of course "No, No, No" with the coinciding head shake. He can also tell you what a lion says…. "Raaahhhh". I know he saying some other words as well, I just can't quite understand them yet! He went for his 15 month check-up last week and is a healthy little boy! At 26lbs and 32.5 inches little bug is still in the 80% for height, 75% for weight, and 70% for head circumference. Now that Keller is RUNNING everywhere, the doc expects him to start getting more lean. I am going to miss those chunky thighs! (and not sure that he'll ever lose the cheeks….hope not!). He is a great eater, and loves his broccoli, so no needed changes there. Just keeping up with the whole milk for a few more months then he will be down to 2%. Keller has 10 teeth now, including 4 molars. They were tough coming in, but now he can take full advantage of amazing things like BACON :) Where is my baby going?
First Piece of Bacon!

This week we are getting prepared for our annual Hilton Head trip. Though last year was super exciting since it was Keller's first time at the beach, I am really looking forward to this year now that he can really take advantage of it all. I know he is going to go nuts for the HUGE sandbox :)
