Name...check…Nursery…check…Baby???

Name…check! Sean and I (mostly "I") had some serious deliberations over our baby girl's name. (I have been by far the most indecisive person during this pregnancy than I have ever been). We are very happy to announce our little lady's name will be Rylan Jane! And yes…I am sure ;) We are calling her by her double name "Rylan Jane", though I'm sure she will be called "Rylan" as well…which is just fine too! Keller prefers Baby Ry Ry :)

We've been waiting on the name letters (another indecisive extravaganza) to finish the nursery, and its finally complete!

We found the old window with the painted birds during our mini-vacay to Asheville. I almost had to fight a girl for it…but it was definitely worth it! (Just Kidding :)

I am 36 weeks pregnant today, so now the countdown begins! This pregnancy has actually gone by pretty quickly. I think it has a lot to do with chasing a toddler and caring for 3 dogs (whose counting?). We are super excited to meet Rylan Jane, though I know these last weeks will be forever long and torturous. That is one thing I have not forgotten about pregnancy, the last month! She should be about 6lbs now and I will be officially full term next week. So if you are listening baby girl…any day now will be great!

Meeska, Mooska, Mickey Mouse!

I had such a fun time crafting and creating yummy Mickey shaped goodies for Keller's 2nd birthday party. Along with a fun Mickey Mouse Clubhouse party, we started several new birthday traditions in our family including a birthday donut for breakfast on the actual birthday, a birthday book with a note from Mommy and Daddy in lieu of a card, and whatever the birthday boy/girl wants for dinner out on the night of their actual birthday (This year it was PIZZA…no complaints here). We also got to bring in a birthday treat for Keller's class. This was super exciting for me as my birthday is in July and I never got to have the class party! (I really enjoy living vicariously through Keller if you can't tell :) See below for pictures of all the fun!

Keller enjoying his birthday donut the morning of his 2nd birthday. So hard to believe that he is TWO! Where did my baby go?

The morning of Keller's "Party Day". This time enjoying a chocolate covered Mickey rice crispie treat for breakfast. I know, chocolate for breakfast 2 days in a row, but you only turn 2 once right???

I can't take credit for the creation of the cute door sign. Daddy saw it on Etsy and had to have it…yep I said Daddy ;)

Mickey food table. Looks like it didn't all make it to the table before the picture was taken, but you get the idea. We had Mickey Mouse Clubhouse themed food… Hot Diggity Dogs, Goofy's Goldfish, O'Toodles Tots, Daisy's Delicious Fruit, Strawberry Mini-Ade, Goofy's Garden Veggies, and Pluto's PBJs (shaped like Mickey of course!)

My prized cake! I am keeping the tradition of a Mommy-made birthday cake every year. Though I'm realizing this is only going to get harder! But I surprised myself this year with the Mickey cake. Not too shabby…

Keller being silly in his fancy birthday shirt.

Decorating Mickey cookies! I found that this was definitely more of a "girl" activity than a "boy" one. The girls sat and decorated and talked quietly, I was pretty amazed. I think Keller (and Landon. probably not by choice) were the only boys to decorate. The birthday boy ended up just stabbing his cookie with the icing until it was in a bunch of pieces :) I'll keep that in mind for future parties for baby girl!

This year I did Keller's photo montage by year instead of months. 24 months could get  a little busy!

Thanks to Daddy's work printer, we made a Mickey coloring station. Luckily we made it through with no crayons on the walls!

Made the banner myself this year…love playing crafty mom!

PRESENTS!
(just a little help from the cousins ;)

Happy Birthday Boy!
