As you may have noticed, the posts are definitely spreading out a little. Seems as Keller gets older we just get busier (and I'm sure this will continue for some time). Keller is almost 7 1/2 months and still amazes me day by day. He is beginning the crawling motions, rocking back and forth and trying to pull his knees up under him. Mommy and Daddy are going to be in a whole new world before we know it. The latest trick (and my favorite) is Keller gives KISSES on demand! Though he is definitely not frivolous with them. He'll give one or two when you ask (with a big sloppy open mouth), then he shuts you down. Almost like he's thinking "I'm not a puppet!". But either way, every time he lands one on me, my heart melts, so I keep asking "A kiss for Mama?"! Love bug has also started copying us. He will shake his head "no no no no" (which I'm a little worried about!), and is learning to wave "Bye Bye".
Keller was sick for his 6 month check-up :(, so he went in at 7 months for his next round of shots, weigh-in, and chat with the doc. He is now 20lbs 4oz (80th percentile), 50th percentile for head circumference, and OFF THE CHARTS for HEIGHT, of all things… He's 29 3/4 inches long. We've started a little table food here and there. Just last weekend we went out for breakfast for the 1st time as a family, and of course Keller got his own little pancake. The doctor told us he could have full-time table food at 8 months, so we are pretty excited about that, and I know Keller is too. While all of the changes are exciting, I wish I could slow things down. Just a few moments ago, I was cuddling with my bug in the glider before bedtime (my absolute FAVORITE time of the day) and looking at this sleeping babe in my arms thinking, "Please don't ever change!". I love seeing him learn and grow, but it breaks my heart to say good-bye to the baby side of Keller. You can already see the sweet, yet rambunctious, little boy coming out in him. I am trying to savor every moment!

Since the last post, Keller was baptized at Mt.Bethel United Methodist Church. It was an important and memorable moment for our little family, and we were blessed to have all of our family and friends to support us. Keller was a champ with no crying and getting the whole church giggling while trying to pull off the minister's microphone. We celebrated with a BBQ at our house following. Also since the last post Keller has started staying with Miss Sharon while I work from home 4 days a week. He has been doing fantastic with her and actually getting in better naps than he does at home! (I've really got to figure out what's making the difference!). She lives one street up, so now I have time to feed Keller breakfast before I take him over, and then lots of time to play when I pick him up! Its made a huge difference in the time we get together. I feel so blessed to have such a great situation with work and childcare.
I now have time to take Keller to the park, so the other day I took him to the neighborhood park to swing (which he loves!), and took him down the slide for the fist time (I think he liked it but it was just us so I couldn't see his face!). Besides the park we've also been doing lots of swimming while its still hot. We've spent lots of time in the pool with his buddies Cameron and Tatum (Prosser's), and also made a stop at the Freeman pool to do a little swimming with Asher.
That's the latest. All in all, life couldn't be better. I am having an absolute blast being a Mommy and a Wifey. Some new pictures below. Also, please click on the link to the right for more pictures (and our best shot at some 6 month photos!)
