We FINALLY moved into our new home!!!! It ended up being an 8 month long journey, but it was well worth the wait. I absolutely love our home and the neighborhood. For the first time in my life, I"m not spending my time thinking about where I want to go next. I don't think I've ever loved routine so much!
One big reason for writing this particular blog was to share some very sad news. We recently said goodbye to our oldest fur baby...Dante. For those that knew Dante, knew he lived a long, happy, and adventurous life. He was an awesome companion for Sean to share his ups and downs with, and then a loving pup when we created our family. Dante has lived and travelled all over the country, and was blessed to have multiple caretakers that loved him dearly. We were all sad to let him go, and there is no doubt a piece of our family is missing. But nonetheless, we are doing our best to remember his good life, and know that he is in a place where he can run the trails, have lots of treats, and tear up as many stuffed ducks as he likes!
Nala and Lilly have been sad, but are hanging in there. Nala had surgery this week to have a mass removed, so that has just added to the crazy! She is doing well though and we've been praying for a speedy recovery....nobody likes the cone of shame!
Keller and Rylan Jane are now 3 and 1 years old, and are truly blessings in our life. I've never seen siblings so in love with one another, its awesome to watch. I know that one day that will change, but for now we are just enjoying watching them interact. Its the sweetest!
Keller is getting to be such a big boy! Along with taking care of his little sister, he's learning to swim and playing soccer (Daddy is so proud!). He had an accident shortly after moving into the house and shattered a tooth :( It was a pretty awful experience but he's is doing much better now. He lost the shattered tooth and looks like he may have to have the other front tooth removed. We'll wait and see. Although I miss his perfect smile, the toothless grin has grown on me and certainly makes Keller "all boy" :) Luckily these are baby teeth, so he'll get his permanent ones in soon enough. Keller has lots to say and his personality is cracking me up these days! He is defnintley in the "WHY?" stage...so trying to give honest answers to all the questions is getting to be a little entertaining and sometimes difficult! I absolutely love age 3. I think its the most magical age so far, where my love bug's imagination is running wild and everything is still so pure. Love love love!
Miss Rylan Jane is going from baby to toddler and she is seriously adorable (I know, I'm biased). She looks just like a little girl version of Keller, but is a tiny little thing (don't let those cheeks deceive you!). She was only 17lbs at 12 months (to give you some perspective, Keller was 24lbs at his 12 month check up), but she certainly has spunk. She loves her baby dolls, but also loves to wrestle and can growl with the best of them! Just as expected, I think she will turn out to be a tomboy that loves to get dressed up and play in the dirt...my kind of girl! She'll be walking any day now, so we're getting excited for the next chapter in her life....ready or not here she comes! She is very gabby these days...and her favorite pastime is dropping things and saying "Uh Oh". While it can get a bit repetitive, I almost don't mind because her little voice is so sweet! She is an extremely snuggly baby, and has donned the nickname "Little Lovie" as she has become my own personal lovie!
The last year or so was a whirlwind to say the least. So the plan for 2014 is to just enjoy everyday life, get outside as much as possible, and embrace the precious moments. I know how fast life can pass us by, and I don't want to miss a thing!
